6. Freedom Realized, Healing Journey Begins

There is so much I would like to say to you (counselor) and then again I'd like to say nothing at all.

Why do I feel threatened, what prevents me from confiding in you? Reluctantly I come to freedom…

My fears guard my secrets like a valued possession as if they had some worth.

My soul transforms like H2O
I can be solid - in control but vulnerable to any heat, cold
          and distance.
I can flow like liquid - moving into empty spaces, influenced
by the tilt of my surroundings, hard to hold…
Taking form only when constrained by outside forces.
          Finally, I can be a vapor - invisible, fog-like, free-floating
and lost…Taken to high temperatures able to burn anything
that tries to hold to it.
I change rapidly against my will, no state is comfortable…

It takes skill and knowledge to separate the H2 from the O…
          The H2 signifies the hate
The O …oxygen, the Breath of Life

H is squared, increasing its hold… I can change its physical
form and outward appearance, but only God can make a
          new creation.

I want to change…I want freedom, but I am unable - my hate continues to have a stronghold on my life…

It is a comfort that I can share my thoughts, even when I can't share my history…thanks for sharing yours.

God speaks…what did He tell me today?
That hard experiences in a persons life can be used to reach someone else's pain and bring a hunger for freedom in Christ.
