It is another year, and another opportunity to journey to the cold north of Alaska to minister to the American Natives. Your prayers and support are requested for this wonderful mission. If the Lord blesses as He has in the past, which we expect, His fruit will abound, and lives of these precious women will be transformed by His living word.
The opportunity to work with the volunteers of Alaska Missions and Retreats and Brenda Crim is filled with the warmth of promise despite the freezing temperature. I recall how the Lord met each one with a unique expression of His presence in the pain of their past, restoring them with His love.
These beautiful ladies have suffered much from the isolation of Covid and the loss of loved ones to the disease and to despair. Isolation in the cold dark winter months multiplied the effects. They look forward to this Women’s Conference in Nome, AK, for a few days they can center on the Lord and be ‘pampered’ by their sisters in Christ.
I have the great privilege to meet individually with those seeking personal discipleship and prayer ministry which, Brenda calls ‘Freedom Ministry’. Watching the darkened countenance change before our eyes as the Lord by His Spirit purifies their beliefs with His truth, cannot be described with words. He energizes us to do it over and over again.
This year I am pleased to have Merida Brooks join me as a prayer partner in these sessions. If the Lord leads, I ask you to join us in supporting our trip with prayers and your tax-deductible love offerings.
In Christ, Looking to Him,
Jo Ann Buckley
